Leader Of Anti-Communist Group Killed In San Carlos City, Negros Occidental

SAN CARLOS CITY – The leader of an anti-communist group has recently shot dead in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on May 3, Sunday.

According to an article from SunStar, the fatality, identified as Vivencio Aguilar, who is the president of an anti-communist group in Negros Island called KADRE or Kilusan at Alyansa ng mga Dating Rebelde, died due to a gunshot in the head.

Local police officer-in-charge Major Mark Angelo Junco, Aguilar was sitting inside his vehicle when an assailant shot him in the head in Barangay 2.

Police reports show that the suspect casually walked away, boarded a waiting motorcycle, and fled in an unknown direction.

As per the report, witnesses testified that they heard two gunshots, which led to the death of the victim. Police are yet to determine the motive behind the crime. The anti-communist leader was said to be a confidential agent of the PNP.
