DA-BPI Gives Free Seedlings To Provide Source Of Food Amid Quarantine
DA-BPI GIVES FREE SEEDLINGS – The Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Plant Industry is giving away free seedlings.
As the world continues its battle against the coronavirus pandemic, food security has become essential. More so, stocks of food have been depleted in some countries. As such, people opted to grow their own plants.
Currently, more and more people have come to realize the essentials of growing your own food. In lieu of this, people have become fore interested in starting their own gardens.
Luckily, if you are one of those people, all you need to do is contact the DA-BPI to grab your very own seedlings to plant. All you need is to pass the request form on their site.
However, the seeds to be distributed are subject to availability. In addition, the request form is only valid for individuals or households. Meanwhile, those organizations that request multiple seeds for need to a letter of request addressed to the:
Bureau Director George Y. Culaste, Ph.D., and send via e-mail to [email protected], copy furnished: [email protected].
Each individual would be given one set. Additionally, each set would contain 5 packets. The packets contain the subsequent estimated number of seeds for a 50-100 sq meter area.
Meanwhile, residents from NCR may have their seeds delivered via Lalamove, Grab, or any other courier service while shouldering delivery fees. Otherwise, the seeds could be picked-up personally at BPI-Malate or BPI-QC.
