In a report of PNA News, a 43-year-old woman yields P6.8 million worth of shabu packed with Chinese teabag after she was arrested on buy bus-bust operation held midnight, Tuesday. The suspect was identified as Noralyn Villesa Bordan alias “Inday Nora”, resident of Sagay City, Negros Oriental.

Col. Josefino Ligan said that one-kilogram of suspected shabu was seized after Criminal Intelligence Branch headed by Major Randy Caballes arrested her. The arrest takes place at the suspect’s apartment located at Unit 4 Opra, Barangay Kalunasan, Cebu City.

Ligan said illegal drugs obtained from Borden were similarly packed to the almost 400 kilograms of shabu seized from a Chinese national in Makati City in November last year. The illegal drugs recovered from Bordan had a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P6.8 million, said Caballes.

“In our (Philippine National Police) past seizure, we saw a similar packaging where the shabu is sealed in a Chinese teabag. The drugs from the suspect (Bordan) is also placed in a green tea bag with Chinese characters,” Ligan said in Cebuano in a radio interview.

Meanwhile, the suspect admitted that she owns the confiscated shabu but she denies that she knows that the Chinese teabag contained shabu. Ligan added that shabu recovered from the woman was part of a larger illegal drug stash from Metro Manila.

As of now, the suspect has now been detained at the CCPO at Camp Sotero Cabahug and be charge of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. She was also included under profiling and background checking to identify the people behind and who she had transacted in the past.
