Wanted Man Killed In Operation In Zamboanga Del Sur
ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR – A wanted man was recently killed on April 28 (Tuesday) in an operation in Zamboanga Del Sur province.
A report from SunStar states that the fatality was identified as Victor Perales, aged 32, a resident of Sapa Lobo village, Aurora in the province, says Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer Major Helen Galvez.
The wanted man was slain during a shootout that occurred following a warrant of arrest against him at about 5:30 PM on April 28 at Purok 6, Barangay Kapalaran, Tambulig.
The information officer added that Perales, who was wanted for two criminal charges, reportedly pulled out a caliber .45 pistol and fired at the officers, which prompted them to return fire, which hit the suspect.
As per the report, recovered from the fatality was the said caliber .45 pistol packed with six live rounds and a magazine containing nine bullets.
Perales was having warrants of arrest for the crime of murder, as well as frustrated murder, which was issued on January 3 by the Aurora court, Galvez added.
