Cops Siezed P680k Shabu from the Live-in Couple in Tagbilaran City
TAGBILARAN CITY – live-in couple yields P680k worth of shabu after got arrested in an anti-drug operation, Tuesday.
Intelligence officers of the Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) arrested a live-in couple at dawn on Tuesday during an anti-drug operation. P680,000 worth of shabu was seized from the couple.
According to the report of Bohol Chronicle, police operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) seized the drugs allegedly from 23-year-old Jeremy Aguhar and 20-year-old Alma Avila, a live-in couple both residents of San Jose, Talibon. The buy-bust operation takes place in Barangay Cogon where the two got nabbed.
The couple was seen selling shabu in the barangay that urge police to set up operation, said Capt Gereon Item of the PIB. He added that the police poseur-buyer bought shabu worth P50,000 from them that resulted to their immediate arrest.
Operative recovered 100 grams of the suspected shabu worth P680,000 based on the amount set by the Dangerous Drugs Board. Aguhar and Avila are under police custody and will face charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
