Mayor Isko Moreno has this message to Sampaloc residents
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno released his message to residents in Sampaloc on the hard lockdown that will be officially implemented on April 23.
Following the continuous rise in the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Sampaloc, the government of Manila decided to put it under the hard lockdown for 48 hours.
This decision came after a thorough decision-making process among the local officials of the capital city of the Philippines. In line with the fight against the new coronavirus, Yorme Isko said in a previous result that there is a possibility that they would also implement the hard lockdown in other areas. The Mayor has already released the list of barangays that might be included in this measure.
As the hard lockdown in Sampaloc will be implemented this Thursday, starting at 8 PM, Mayor Isko Moreno called out for the cooperation in every resident in the said area.
In his message that was posted on the official Twitter account of the Manila Public Information Office, he reminded everyone not to get out of their houses within the 48-hour hard lockdown.
He assured his constituents that while Sampaloc residents are staying at home, healthcare workers will continue to do their jobs in isolating the patients and giving them necessary medical attention.
“Konting tiis na lang po dahil sa ating pagsunod, may kaakibat na mabuting epekto ito,” he said in his message. The Mayor is also optimistic that they would overcome this health crisis.
“Makakaraon din po tayo, may awa ang Dios,” Yorme Isko said. He also reminded his constituents to take care and to continue praying. “Maraming salamat po sa inyong pakikiisa. Manila, God first,” he added.
