Neighbors Ask Justice for Man Who was Shot Dead after Challenging Police
Quezon City, Manila- Residents and neighbors ask for justice for the man who was gunned down after challenging the police telling him to get down.
In our previous article, the man, identified as Winston Ragos y Aquino, 34, a retired AFP personnel, was shot by a police enforcing enhanced community quarantine in Barangay Pasong Putik, Quezon City.
This prompted when the suspect approached Police trainees guarding the area saying, “Ang sama ng tingin mo. Anong problema mo?” According to the report, police are telling him to throw his bag that allegedly contains a firearm, but eyewitnesses said that the man has no firearm in his bag.
Shortly thereafter, the man attempt to pull something in his bag resulting to PMSg Daniel Florendo fired two gunshots. The man later throws his bag and fell to the ground.
Meanwhile, residents of the area ask for justice for Ragos after the shooting incident. In a Facebook post of News 5, photos show residents sets candles and a tarpaulin with “Justice for Winston Ragos” written.
