Frankie Pangilinan calls her mom ‘Shawie’
Recording artist Frankie Pangilinan asked the permission of her mother Megastar Sharon Cuneta, calling her ‘Shawie’, to record a daring song.
Shawie is the nickname of the Megastar in show business. Apparently, this also has become the endearment of Frankie to her mother. In her recent Twitter post, she shared that she called her mother to ask permission.
Frankie, although she is known to be an independent woman, still consults her parents in certain decisions, based on the article from GMA Entertainment.
In her tweet, she said, “100% sacrificed all dignity and went to ask shawie for permission to release this se** song i wrote.” She also shared that the Megastar said yes to this which apparently she did not expect.
“Now I’m going to sit here and think about what I’ve done as I come to terms with the fact she said yes. I really just stood there and recited the lyrics to her face while she looked at me with dead eyes didn’t I,” Frankie added.
Her friend and fellow recording artist Leila Alcasid, the daughter of OPM icon Ogie Alcasid, asked her to send the song and Frankie answered with a “no”.
Several netizens also encouraged her to share the song while said that they are excited to hear the song. Meanwhile, many netizens also found it amusing that Frankie Pangilinan called her mother “Shawie”.
