20 Individuals In Talisay City, Cebu Caught For Violating ECQ
TALISAY CITY – About 20 individuals were caught by the Talisay City Police Office in Cebu for violating ECQ on Thursday.
According to SunStar, among the arrested who violated the ECQ protocol were two who were not using face masks; 12 for failure to show their quarantine passes; and six curfew violators, says Local Police Chief Major Gerald Ace Pelare. They will face charges.
Gerald “Samsam” Gullas Jr., mayor of the said city has issued an executive order which makes wearing of face masks in public places mandatory. They are also required to wear their ECQ passes within the scope of the cit at all times.
As per the report, consumers must also wear their masks and present their ECQ passes to be allowed to enter in public markets and other business establishments.
The public establishments are also tasked to place a “No ECQ Pass and Face Mask, No Entry” sign.
Furthermore, minors and senior citizens aged 65 years and above are not allowed to enter in public markets, grocery stores and supermarkets due to the curfew.
The executive order also states that there will be random checking and test buys the city will conduct in order to verify compliance. Otherwise, if establishments would violate the order, the would face closure and revocation of business permits.
