Senior Citizens To Receive Pension Worth 6 Months In Advance
SENIOR CITIZENS – A lawmaker says that around 9.7 million senior citizens will receive their six months of pension in advance this April.

According to a report from ABS-CBN, this aims to help them cope with the COVID-19 pandemic which resulted in a lockdown in the entire Luzon and other regions, says Senior Citizens Party-list Rep. Francisco Datol Jr..
Datol added that he requested that pension payment in advance from President Roderigo Duterte last month. DSWD then notified him on Tuesday that this was approved and it downloaded that funds to LandBank.
He added that the social welfare department would release the pension that about 3.7 million failed to receive last year,
As per the report, Luzon is under lockdown until April 30 in order to contain the threat of the coronavirus diseases.
There are about 5,453 confirmed cases. Among them were 349 fatalities and 353 recoveries. The nation is , by far, having the most number of cases in South East Asia according to a tally.
