PAGASA – TECF, Northeasterly Surface Windflow To Affect Parts Of The Country This April 15, 2020

PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) this April 15, 2020.

The early morning forecast from the bureau states that the tail end of a cold front (TECF) and the northeasterly surface windflow (NESWF) will be affecting some parts of the country on this day.

According to GMA, the TECF will bring cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms over Quezon anc Camarines provnces. The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides that might occur especially during severe thunderstorms.

The NESWF, on the other hand, will bring cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Cagayan Valley.

The said weather system will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region and the Cordillera Administrative Region.

Lastly, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will face partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides that might occur especially during severe thunderstorms.

As per the report, for the forecast wind speed, the eastern section of Luzon will have moderate to strog winds that are moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the east to northeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
