LTO Receives Online Criticisms After Apprehending Vans of BPO Companies Catering Call Center Agents

BACOLOD CITY, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL – The Land Transportation Office apprehended the vans renter by BPO companies to cater the call center agents.

In Bacolod City, the personnel of Land Transportation Office were apprehending the vans of BPO companies serving as the service vehicles of the call center agents. The agency would charge sanctions to the van operators.

The Facebook page “TV Patrol Negros” has shared the photos of call center agents in CyberCentre waiting at the parking lot of the building since vans were being apprehended LTO Region 6.

The drivers and operators temporarily stopped from catering the BPO employees because LTO would charge them a fine of P200,000 if they will be caught. The agency explained that the operators need to obtain a special permit from LTFRB.

Bacolod City Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran has also expressed his disappointment towards the agency for making the life of BPO employees more difficult amid the health crisis in the country. He also urged LTO and HPG to explain at his office.
