PAGASA – TECF, Northeasterly Surface Windflow To Affect Parts Of The Country This April 14, 2020

PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) this April 14, 2020.

The bureau’s latest weather update states that the tail end of a cold front (TECF) and the northeasterly surface windflow will affect some areas of the country on this day.

According to GMA News, the TECF will bring cloudy skies with rains and thunderstorms over Bicol region and the province of Quezon.

The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides that might occur especially during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the northeasterly surface windflow will bring cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and the rest of CALABARZON. Gusty conditions might occur especially in coastal areas

The NESWF will further bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, and the rest of central Luzon. There will be no significan impact on the said areas.

The rest of the country will face partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides that might occur especially during severe thunderstorms.

As per the report, for the forecast wind speed, the northern and eastern sections of Luzon will have moderate to strong winds that are moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of Luzon will have light to moderate winds that are moving northeastward with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Lastly, Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the east to northeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
