What’s next on Arnold Clavio Exposé?
Arnold Clavio Exposé – Dr. Dennis Ordoña, the spokesperson of the East Avenue Medical center has this revelation regarding the exposé of the Kapuso journalist.
On Saturday, Clavio shared on his Instagram account that frontliners at a certain hospital in Metro Manila sent him information regarding the real situation amid the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the screenshot of messages from frontliners, an average of 10 patients dies every day.
However, based on the source of the journalist, the hospital was told not to report the real number of deaths due to COVID-19. The online community was shocked when the allegations circulated. Many commended Clavio for risking his career just to expose the truth.
On the other hand, The Department of Health (DOH) denied that it ordered hospitals or local government units to stop the census of deaths.
The spokesperson of the EAMC supported the exposé of the Clavio. Dr. Dennis Ordoña revealed that corpses piled up in the hallway of the morgue facility, based on the article from CNN Philippines.
He said that this situation came to this point because the hospital’s equipment is not enough. “Ang capacity lang po kasi noon [morgue] is for 5 patients. Ang pinakamataas po na na-record po namin ay 20 na mga cadavers na hindi po napi-pick-up,” the hospital spokesperson added.
The doctor also said that some of the corpses have been staying in the morgue for at least four days. That is the reason why the foul smell has already reached the other parts of the hospital, based on the report.
Meanwhile, EAMC director Dr. Alfonso Nuñez denied that the local government of Quezon City nor the DOH ordered them to stop counting the deaths. He said that they continue to count the COVID-related deaths and report it to the Health Department’s Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit.
