Based on a report from GMA News, a Person Under Monitoring (PUM) is unable to attend the funeral of her mother. The devastated son could not help but lament the death of his mother while in isolation.

JP has to undergo self-quarantine because his mom was diagnosed with pneumonia. Medical workers weren’t able to test if she’s infected with coronavirus due to a lack of test kits.

“Sabi niya mag-celebrate kaming birthday niya dito, hindi na niya inabot… ngayon since wala na siya hindi ko na alam kung paano magpapatuloy. Kasi siya talaga ‘yung strength ko,” he said.

According to the report, the PUM said their neighbors now hesitate to go near their house but he understands them. JP said losing his mother without giving her a proper “send-off” is more difficult to handle.

“Gustuhin ko man hindi ako makalabas ng bahay nung day na nawala siya, krinemate siya. Hindi talaga ako nakapunta dahil hindi puwede kahit gustuhin ko,” he said.
