Over the past few months, the coronavirus disease 2019 has become the headlines of international and local news companies. The World Health Organization has also called the virus outbreak as “Pandemic”.
A lot of countries including the Philippines are already implementing precautionary measures to prevent the rampant spread of the virus. The local government units are already giving relief goods to poor residents.
Most Filipino people living under the line of poverty only rely on relief goods and financial aid given by the government after the enhanced community quarantine affects their livelihood and other source of income.
Recently, the Facebook page “Pinoy Trending News” has shared the heartbreaking photo of an old man picking up the pieces of rice grains on the ground. The photo garnered various reactions from the social media users.
In the photo, it can be seen that the old man is lying on the ground while picking up rice grains after its plastic bag accidentally tears up.
