Several celebrities have been ranting online regarding their political views amid the enhanced community quarantine due to COVID-19 pandemic. Some even demanded that politicians who are not performing their duties should leave their positions.

Just recently, the hashtag intending to oust the Chief Executive of the Philippines also surfaced on Twitter. In line with this, the post of the son of Gary Valenciano and Angeli Pangilinan caught the attention of a netizen.

Based on the article from the Philippine Entertainment Portal, Gab Valenciano posted this:

“There’s corruption, then there’s pure idiocy. It’s one thing to steal our money, another to put your own people at risk. Disappointment isn’t the word. Disgust would be more appropriate. Step down, sir. Or we will do it for you.”

A netizen related this post to the statement of the President on April 1 regarding the troublemakers during the enhanced community quarantine. Based on the article, the netizen commented that people have been intending to oust the President but he is still in his position until now.

This received a reply from Gab as he clarified that his post was shared days before that statement of President Duterte. “Hi. Please check the date. This was for Koko Pimentel. Thanks,” the Wowowin director clarified. The said post of Gab was shared on March 26.

In a much-elaborated post on April 3 in his Facebook account, the TV director addressed those who misinterpreted his “step down” post, based on the article. He reiterated to whom his post was intended and included some screenshots of netizens’ comments against him.
