According to Mark Timbal, spokesman of OCD said that the reports of the said incidents were indeed fake news, as per an article from GMA News.

The OCD spokesperson reacted to screenshots on social media which claims that cops raided hospitals and confiscated their PPEs amid the coronavirus disease 2019 threat (COVID-19). Timbal said that the screenshots could possibly be edited.

He then said that OCD has been getting resources via procurement and donations which are like their guidelines in pat calamities.

Timbal added that the procurement of said equipment and management of supplies that were donated are continuing as they aim to aid as many medical facilities as possible.

As per the report, President Rodrigo Duterte directed the OCD to take the role of the main coordinating body for all donations to the government meant to respond to the threat.

They were ordered to ready an inventory of all donations of the loccal government and DOH, as well as coordinating with relevant agencies like DOLE and DSWD, to see which medical facilities are in need of medical supplies.
