There are seven colors: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet. They were having a debate as to who should be the best color to the point that they quarrel with each other.
Each color has their claims as to why they should be the best color:
RED
The most striking and the color of blood. Represents love and bravery.
ORANGE
The color of sunrise and represents health and strength.
YELLOW
The color of the sun itself and represents gaiety and warmth.
GREEN
Represents life and the color of fields and greenery.
BLUE
The color of the broad sky and sea and represents patriotism.
INDIGO
Represents silence, thoughtfulness and prayers.
VIOLET
Represents royalty, power, wisdom, and authority
The debate stopped when the rain came. Rain told the colors that God told them to stop their arguments on who is the best. He also said that God decided to make the colors one after an outpour of rain, which is now called RAiNBOW.
