Holiday Pay Rules for April 9, 10 & 11, 2020, According to DOLE
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reminded the employers regarding the holiday pay rules for April 9, 10 and 11, 2020.
Previously, the Malacañang Palace released the official list of Philippine regular and special holidays including the Lenten Season. The list stated that April 9 and 10 are regular holidays while April 11 is a special non-working day.
The upcoming holidays this month are April 9 (Maundy Thursday & Araw ng Kagitingan), April 10 (Good Friday), and April 11 (Black Saturday). The payment of wages for these holidays should be also observed.
The Labor Department also reminded the employers to observe the holiday pay rules for the upcoming holidays based on the Proclamation No. 845 issued by President Rodrigo Duterte.

However, the social media users expressed their sentiments regarding the upcoming holidays because most of their jobs have been suspended after President Duterte placed the entire Luzon under an enhanced community quarantine.
