Poor Elderly Woman Haven’t Receive Food Supplies for Allegedly Having No Name on List of Barangay Officials
A poor elderly woman in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental received no relief goods for having no name of the list of barangay officials.
A Facebook user named Lien Saput has shared the heartbreaking photo of a poor grandma identified as Lola Juliana Abayon Pilares or popularly known as “Chai Morit” who did not receive relief goods.
Saput wrote on his post that Lola Juliana hasn’t received food, which was distributed by barangay officials of a certain village in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental. He also said that the project is called “FOOD FOR THE POOREST OF THE POOR”.
According to the concerned netizen, the other voters of the village have received their food supply but some of the recipients are not even ‘indigent’. Unfortunately, Chai Morit, who is a certified indigent received nothing.
The 85-year-old granny has no work and her jobless son is just only “remedio heneral”. The elderly woman said that the barangay officials told her that she will be received her ECQ package during the distribution for the second batch.
Saput also called the barangay officials to help those who were in need and asked people with generous hearts to help Chai Morit personally.
