UP announced this regarding the UPCAT Results 2020
The University of the Philippines made an announcement regarding the UPCAT Results 2020 on Saturday.
Every year, UP releases a list of names who passed the University of the Philippines College Admission Test. Hopefuls who applied for the prestigious university are starting getting ready for this every March. In line with this year’s result, UP released a statement.
Based on the official statement posted on the official website of the University of the Philippines, the institution decided to postpone the release of the UPCAT Results 2020. This was originally scheduled on March 30, Monday.
“The University of the Philippines has always been committed to ensuring the integrity and timely release of the UPCAT results. However, its decision to postpone the release of the results is prompted by two considerations,” the official statement said.
The first thing that the educational institution is considering is that the “applicants will have different levels of access to online results in light of the Enhanced Community Quarantine.” The community quarantine was implemented in Metro Manila on March 15 and days after that, the enhanced community quarantine was implemented in the whole Luzon region.
For the second consideration why the release of the result is now postponed is that “the need to suspend UPCAT processing after 16 March in consideration of the welfare of the large team of employees working on the pre-release validation of UPCAT results — who live in various locations within and at the outskirts of Metro Manila.”
The University of the Philippines has not stated anything regarding the date when the results will be released. Applicants are told to wait for further announcements.
