They are limiting their access to private media, which means only government media is allowed to broadcast the latest updates.

Incoming questions from the private media will be given in advance to PCOO. All official announcements in line with the critical crisis brought about by COVID must come from the president of the country, the Department of Health (DOH), and the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Diseases.

Meanwhile, Cabinet Karlo Alexei Nograles reveals the truth about circulating reports online over quarantine extension after Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine as declared by President Rodrigo Duterte.

Nograles clarified that there is not truth about the enhanced community quarantine to be extended after April 12. Nograles indicated, “Gusto ko linawin, lahat ‘yan fake news. Huwag tayo maniwala sa fake news na ‘yan. Wala tayong ina-announce na any extension [ng quarantine]. Gusto nga natin mapabilis ito.”
