According to ABS-CBN, the Philippine National Police got reports that food trucks were blocked by officials in Pami town, Laguna due to lack of quarantine passes.

Police chief of directorial staff Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said that this could be an issue that could be occurring in other areas of the Philippines.

Eleazar added that the drivers only have to present their IDs to determine that they are authorized, adding that they don’t have to present food pass, commodity pass, work pass, emergency pass, and the like.

He added that we are doomed to fail should individual local government units do not coordinate, warning local governments and barangays not to block cargo.

As per the report, the Philippines now has 707 cases of COVID-19, which includes 45 deaths and 28 recovered patients. It is more likely to sharply increase now that the additional test kits arrived.

Luzoin is still under enhanced community quarantine, and will end in April 12.
