Marikina City Assembles Disinfection Tents On Markets

MARIKINA CITY – The city of Marikina recently placed disinfection areas at one of its markets’ entrance as a means to prevent COVID-19 spread.

According to GMA News, a resident of the city named Harley Serball Timbol took a photo of the said tents in Marikina Market in Sta. Elena.

The tents were meant for those who would go to the market and disinfect their bodies before entering.

Timbol added that the people could make sure that they do not carry Coronavirus disease 2019. Like other areas, the government also omposed social distancing.

As per the report, the online tracker from the DOH states that there are seven COVID-19 cases in the city.

Local mayor Marcelino Teodoro suggested that the Department of Health approve the city’s testing center in order to spot positive cases faster. However, it was denied following the assessment of the lab from the agency.

The Philippines currently has 707 positive COVID-19 cases, which includes 45 deaths.
