FIGHTING COVID-19 – Amid shortages in medical supplies to protect against the new coronavirus, citizens execute unique strategies against the virus.

The whole world faced a new pandemic – COVID-19. However, instead of working together, people started panic-buying and hoarding much-needed supplies such as face masks.

This left the majority of the public with nothing to protect them against the virus when going out. As such, some citizens became a bit creative to address the issue.

Instead of regular face masks, people have used everything from coconut husks to dishwashing sponges.

Others went to grocery stores wearing a horse mask in a protective suit as a countermeasure against the virus. Meanwhile, in Spain, a man was arrested by police for breaking quarantine in a T-Rex Suit.

Some opted for a more economical approach and used the grocery bags themselves as masks when doing shopping.

But, others wanted even more protection and went to their local market in a raincoat, shoes wrapped in garbage bags, protective goggles, and a gas-mask.

Another problem faced by residents is the uncertainty in public transports. With the virus being reported to stay on surfaces for hours, commuters brought their own plungers.

Meanwhile, residents in Asian countries opted for a more environmental approach and used oranges as a mask.

However, since the coronavirus has reached new levels. People are advised to stay indoors to avoid exposure to the virus.
