The Filipina actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce together with a local government would set up sleeping quarters near hospitals for health workers.
Angel Locsin together with her fiancé and local government unit are now preparing sleeping quarters for health workers working round the clock amid the coronavirus outbreak. The project aims to relieve the burden of medical frontliners of traveling to work from their houses.
The Kapamilya star called the attention of kind-hearted people and other celebrities to donate foldable beds for the project. Anyone who will donate bottled waters is also welcome, the actress said.
The 34-year-old celebrity said that they will refrain from asking financial donations due to the current situation of the country but will accept other forms of support. She also noted how the health workers suffered a lot due to the suspension of public transportation as a part of the enhanced community quarantine over the entire Luzon.
“Due to the lockdown, their travel to and fro the hospitals are challenging, grueling, and extremely exhausting…, In this time of emergency, the smallest act of kindness can spell the difference between hope and despair. Our countrymen need us,” Locsin said on her IG post.
Locsin also expressed her gratitude towards her friends in the showbiz industry such as Angelica Panganiban, Anne Curtis and Bea Alonzo for responding to her request.
