A concerned netizen shared photos of soldiers spotted sleeping beside waiting sheds amid enhance community quarantine goes viral and earned praise from netizens.
On Monday, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte placed Luzon under “Enhance Community Quarantine” amid coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) confirmed cases still continue to rise. Department of Health (DOH) recorded 142 confirmed cases of coronavirus, with 12 deaths. To date, 3 patients have recovered from the disease.
The quarantine for Luzon is effective midnight of March 17 until midnight of April 13. It means “strict home quarantine shall be implemented in all households; transportation shall be suspended; provision for food and essential services shall be regulated; and heightened presence of uniformed personnel to enforce quarantine procedures will be implemented.”
Meanwhile, Politicians and well-known personalities gives support and additional medical supplies frontliners such policemen and soldiers manning checkpoints from the entry border and health workers caring coronavirus patients.
Despite raging and inconsiderate netizens complaining blaming frontliners for doing their jobs there are still kind and understandable netizens who appreciates their efforts in serving and risking their lives for Filipino people.
Recently, a concerned netizen named Arjhun Catada share a heart-breaking situation of policemen and soldiers amid “Enchance Community Quarantine”. He shares photos of soldiers sleeping besides waiting sheds with just a ‘karton’ as their mattress.
He calls out other netizens to stop bashing and giving hate to frontliners like them because they don’t know what they risk and sacrifice to secure the safety of every Filipino residents amid coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) threat in the country.
His post has gone viral on social media as netizens felt heart-break over the photos. Netizens express their gratitude and appreciation over the sacrifices of our soldiers and policemen manning checkpoints and curfews.
