Netflix Debuts Cheapest Mobile Plan in the Philippines

NETFLIX – Streaming site Netflix finally brings its cheapest mobile plan in the Philippines.

Filipinos are very fond of watching movies. They watch movies in cinemas, homes, or literally anywhere and it became the most popular past time in the county.

American video streaming service Netflix has changed the tv and movie industry. It now has hundreds of millions paying subscribers around the world.

Based on a report from Business World, the streaming site just launched a new mobile-only plan in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, and the Philippines.

The streaming services director for Product Innovation, Patrick Flemming, said “Filipinos watch 2x more Netflix on mobile than the rest of the world. Two out of three Filipinos use download on their phones to watch Netflix on the go.”

Because of that, the country became an attractive market for the company.

“We’re enthusiastic to introduce the Mobile plan in the Philippines to make it even easier for anyone with a smartphone to enjoy Netflix. At home or on the go, now more people can watch all the shows and movies Netflix has to offer, wherever and whenever they want,” he added.

According to the report, the streaming site said they are now offering P149 mobile-only plan in the Philippines. Consumers can only watch movies or tv shows on their tablets or mobile phones.  

Users can pay for the subscription using credit and debit cards, gift code or direct carrier billing. They can still create up to five (5) profiles.

Based on the report, you can download the app (Android/iOS) or visit their website (https://www.netflix.com/ph/) if you are interested in their new mobile-only plan. Existing users can switch to this plan on their account settings.
