Two Suspected Gang Members Arrested In Sipalay City

SIPALAY CITY – Two men who are said to be members of the Epogon robbery group were caught on Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.

According to Panay News, the suspects were identified as brothers Francisco Epogon, aged 29, and Ruel Epogon, aged 25.

Equipped with an arrest warrant, the joint forces of the local City Police Station and the 604th Regional Mobile Force Battalion caught the Epogon brothers around 3 PM, March 9 at Magtolis Street, Barangay 3 in the city.

Judge Rosario Ester Ordas-Caise of the Regional Trial Court Brach 61 in Kabankalan City was the one who issued the arrest warrant in lieu to theft charges the suspects face.

As per the report, seized from the Epogon brothers were a caliber .45 pistol equipped with 20 live ammunition; 5 live rounds of a .22- caliber gun and a short steel magazine of an M16 rifle.

The two men were detained in a lockup cell of the local City Police Station.
