Is LET March 2020 postponed?
LET MARCH 2020 – There are circulating speculations that the March 29, 2020 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) will be postponed.
The upcoming Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) is set to happen in March 29, 2020. To note, this is among the biggest licensure exams in the country handled by Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). This is being administered twice in a year scheduled every March and September.
It has numerous testing centers in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Iloilo, Davao, Bacolod, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Marinduque, and Lucena. However, due to the rising of coronavirus-infected patients in the Philippines, President Rodrigo Duterte declared state of public health emergency for the entire country.
This affected many events and just recently a viral message circulated online. It was allegedly from Dr. Brenda B. Corpuz, posted by Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators (PAFTE) – National which said “Just got texted message from Dr. Paz Lucido informing me that March 29 LET is cancelled.”
This has already been deleted but review center owner Dr. Carl Balita asked in his page “How do you feel about Board Exams being postponed because of the CoViD19 crisis?,” which gathered various reactions from many takers.
With this, PRC official released statement indicating that examinees should wait for the official announcement.
And on their website, a public advisory regarding the coronavirus has been posted and it says:
“In support of the Department of Health (DOH) initiative to closely monitor the possible entry and local transmission of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the country, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is currently implementing precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among its personnel and clientele.”
