Quezon City Mayor Announces 3 Of 24 COVID-19 Patients Are From Quezon
3 Of 24 COVID-19 PATIENTS – The Philippines had seen yet another increase in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases.
Due to the recent increase in the number of COVID-19 patients in the country, President Rodrigo Duterte declared a state of public emergency.
With this, the Philippines had been preparing measures to prevent local transmission of COVID-19.
Yesterday, late in the night, President Rodrigo Duterte announced four more cases of COVID-19. This announcement followed his meeting with the inter-agency task force on COVID-19.
According to a report from ABS-CBN, the new cases came from San Juan City, Quezon City, and Bulacan.
With this, the total number of confirmed cases in the Philippines rose to 24. In addition, Quezon city mayor Joy Belmonte announced on Tuesday that 3 of the 24 patients are from Quezon.
Based on the report from ABS-CBN, the first patient was a 57-year old man who lived in Baler Street. Following this, authorities have monitored his family for symptoms, however, none of them have so far.
Meanwhile, the second patient was in his 30s and lives in a condominium unit in Tomas Morato Avenue. As per the report, Belmonte ordered the condominium unit to be disinfected last Monday.
Moreover, the mayor added that the patient was now under isolation in a private hospital outside of the city.
Finally, the third patient from Quezon was from the Project 6 area. However, health officials said they would look into the patient’s home due to the initially given address being inaccurate.
