PAGASA – LPA To Affect Parts Of Philippines (March 5, 2020)

PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration this March 5, 2020.

The bureau’s early morning forecast states that the low pressure area (LPA) will bring cloudy skies and scattered rains over Mindanao, Eastern and Central Visayas.

Flash floods or landslides might occur especially during heavy rains.

The weather disturbance was last seen at about 555 kilometers east southeast of the town of Surigao and Sur.

The Tail End of a Cold Front, on the other hand, will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region. The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides might occur especially during heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon is affecting northern Luzon.

Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, as well as the rest of Luzon.

The rest of Visayas will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorm. Flash floods or landslides might occur during severe thunderstorm.

As per the report, for the forecast wind speed, northern Luzon will have strong winds moving northeastward with rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will face moderate to strong winds moving in the northeast direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.
