SECOND CASE OF COVID-19 IN LOS ANGELES – One of the largest healthcare service providers in the US, Kaiser Permanente confirmed the second case of COVID-19 in Los Angeles.

According to an article from the Jakarta Post, Kaiser Permanente stated they were “overseeing the care of a coronavirus patient who is home in self-isolation and being treated on an outpatient basis.”

They added that they were in touch and handled the monitoring of the patient. However, they did not say where in the county the patient was located.

COVID-19 has swept across sparked new outbreaks in the United States and Europe. The World Health Organization (WHO) has labeled the outbreak as a “very high” risk of spread but they haven’t declared it as a global pandemic.

Countries such as South Korea, Japan, Italy, and Iran have seen a massive increase in the number of cases in the past few days.

In South Korea, the rampant growth in the number of cases was linked to a church group in the city of Daegu. Because of the outbreak, South Korea had been placed under Red Alert.

In Italy, the highest alert level was raised for the coronavirus with high community transmissions.
