This immediately gave the viewers the idea that he dozed off to sleep for a little time. His photo went viral and made rounds online. Looking down, he appeared to be looking for something under under him but with seemingly eyes close down, it was then speculated that he fell asleep.

When it happened, the news anchor was holding her laugh and were chuckling as she smoothly went on with her question she repeated twice. To set the record straight, Webb clarified that he was accordingly looking down at the document placed on the table.

In a Twitter post, Webb clarified, “Here’s what happened. As I was laying the premise for my question, I saw Sen Drilon look down at the documents he had on the table. I did not see him fall asleep.”

Here are some of the comments from the post where some people did not believe the statement of the female broadcaster:

@lucazgrey: But your body language (and expression) says otherwise, hence chuckled

@eto_tome: I saw how you lost your focus after you realized for a split second what was happening and so you repeated your question for Sen Drilon’s benefit and t’was hilarious.

@mitch_p82: Madam, I believe u saw him fall asleep. U were holding ur laughter. That was hilarious and at the same time u kind of repeat the question for him and pretend u didn’t saw him snooze. That was smooth. Kudos to u.
