WALANG PASOK – The local government unit of Tangub City in Misamis Occidental has declared class suspension due to this event.

On Friday (February 28, 2020), the classes and government work at the City of Tangub in the province of Misamis Occidental has been suspended to mark the celebration of its 52nd Charter anniversary.

The Proclamation No. 910 declares February 28, 2020 as a special non-working holiday in the area to give the people of Tangub City the full opportunity to celebrate and participate in these occasions with appropriate ceremonies.

Class Suspension

President Rodrigo Duterte gives power and authority to Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea to sign the proclamation declaring the date as a special holiday in the town. The proclamation has been signed last February 24, 2020.

Tangub is a 4th class city in the province of Misamis Occidental, Philippines. It was formerly known as Regidor until 1930. The City is politically subdivided into 55 barangays.

The town is also a regular participant of the Sinulog Festival through its Sinanduloy Cultural Troupe. The highlights of the festival is held from January 9-18, 2020. The city has been popularly dubbed as the Christmas Symbols Capital of the Philippines.
