TRUMP MOCKS PARASITE – US President Donald Trump mocked one of the most historic events in the history of Cinema with South Korean film “Parasite” winning big in this year’s Oscar Awards.

Parasite, a humorous movie with a dark twist presents a social satire of the dichotomy between rich and poor, became the first non-English film to take not one, but four Oscar awards including:

  • Best Director
  • Best Original Screenplay
  • Best Foreign Language Film
  • Best Picture

However, Trump doesn’t agree with the results. In his campaign rally, Trump stated:

How bad were the Academy Awards this year? And the winner is a movie from South Korea. What the hell was that all about? We’ve got enough problems with South Korea, with trade. And after all that, they give them best movie of the year.

According to an article from ABS-CBN, he added that he wanted a film like “Gone With The Wind” instead. In addition, Trump also dismissed actor Brad Pitt, who also won an Oscar for best-supporting actor in Tarantino’s “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood”.

During his acceptance speech, Pitt said that he had more time to talk, 45 seconds than the former national security adviser John Bolton during Trump’s Senate impeachment trial.

With regards to this, Trump said: “I was never a big fan of his. He’s a little wise guy“.
