FRANKIE PANGILINAN – Sharon Cuneta’s daughter Frankie “Kakie” Pangilinan responded to the people who criticized her for being rich.

Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Senator Francis Pangilinan’s daughter Frankie Pangilinan blossomed into a head-turner. After graduating from senior high last June, she decided to continue her studies in New York, United States.

Her parents have been very supportive of all her decisions in life. The 19-year-old is also musically inclined like her mother and older sister KC Concepcion. Before she went to New York, she released a song titled “TYL.”

Frankie Pangilinan said the triumph of the movie at the world’s most prestigious Film Awards paved a way to introduce Asian movies to the world. However, some netizens contradicted her opinion saying she’s not in the position to say it since she never experienced poverty.

Sharon’s daughter defended herself from the netizen’s criticism. She said, “bold of u to assume i wouldn’t stab myself first in this crippling guilt over something i had no control over and cannot change tho.”

Another netizen asked Frankie Pangilinan if she really understands the situation of the people who live in the slums. She said on her Tweet that she admitted that she grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth but she chose to be away from her family to learn how to stand in her own feet.

“i regret not being home every single day. i know studying in ny reeks if privilege but the truth is me studying back home would’ve just likewise kept me in a bubble of advantage. here im alone. lots of growth happening that wouldn’t have otherwise happened,” she said.
