Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 May Be Out By July, Concepts & Price Range Leaked?
SAMSUNG GALAXY FOLD 2 – Samsung’s latest addition to its line of flagship phones, the Galaxy Z Flip has been out for just about a week and rumors are already being spread about a new foldable phone from Samsung.
According to a Korean newspaper, Aju News, Samsung would make a sequel to their first foldable smartphone launched in 2019, the Galaxy Fold.
So, would Samsung’s next foldable phone bi the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2? Based on the findings of the Korean newspaper, it very well might be.
In addition to this, the upcoming phone was already set to launch as soon as July. With this, the question now would be what new features will Samsung bring to the new phone?
According to Aju News, the Galaxy Fold 2 would integrate with an under-screen selfie camera which allows Samsung to get rid of a notch or puncture whole in the front of the screen.
Aside from Aju News, Ross Young, founder of Display Supply Chian Consultants also seemed to have similar information on the display as well. They too backed up the claim regarding the under-screen selfie camera.
In a Tweet, Young also claimed that Samsung would include a 7.7-inch main display on the new foldable phone. This would be slightly bigger than the original 7.3-inch screen of the original Fold.
With regards to the release date, Young believed that the release could be sometime in the middle of the year. However, Aju News was more specific and claimed it would happen in July.
But, that date would be a strange time for Samsung to reveal a new device. Traditionally, the company revealed its new flagship phones around August of each year.
As for the price, the same could be said for Fold 2’s predecessor – it won’t be cheap. Sources from Aju estimated that the cost of the new foldable phone would be around $1,980.
With that, here are the concept leaks for the Galaxy Fold 2.
