Jeepney Driver Who Plowed Students in Makati Has No License & Positive for Drugs
The jeepney driver who plowed students crossing at the pedestrian lane in Makati City found that has no license and positive for drugs.
In our previous report, a horrific incident befell students as they were crossing a pedestrian in Makati city Tuesday night. CCTV footage was released on social media showing a speeding jeepney failed to stop and kept going, plowing through the group of students.
Bodies went flying as the jeepney finally went to a stop on the next block. the incident caused the death of one student while injuring 6 others.
As per the report, the Makati Traffic Bureau, the driver stated that he lost control of his vehicle. He was arrested and faces several charges.
After further investigations, authorities found out that the driver involved in the accident does not have a license aside from testing positive for drug use, police officials said on Thursday.
According to the report of Inquirer, Makati police chief Col. Rogelio Simon said that while the initial results of suspect Crizalde Tamparong’s drug test came positive, he will still be submitted to confirmatory testing.
Because of these developments, Tamparong is now facing various cases in relation to traffic laws and drug use.
