Drug Suspect From Iloilo City Slain In Bacolod City
ILOILO CITY – A man who is said to be a victim of an execution was found in a vacant lot in Barangay Cabug, Bacolod City on Thursday.
According to SunStar, the man was identified as Nathan Zerrudo from Tanza in Iloilo City.
Chief of Police Station 9 Police Lieutenant Jonito Pastrana said that Zerrudo was found by a concerned citizen in the area with several gunshot and stab wounds found in his body at about 6:15 AM.
Pastrana said that Zerrudo’s hands were tied via nylon cord and his shirt. He was identified through his wallet that was recovered from the crime scene.
The chief noted that he already collaborated with Pavia Police Station in Iloilo and confirmed that Zerrudo was in the city’s drug watchlist and a high-value target in Pavia.
As per the report, Pastrana also sought Pavia police assistance to inform the family of his demise.
“There’s a possibility that the victim was executed in the other area and his body was dumped in the vacant lot at Purok Katipunan,”
Probers are also looking into involvement on illegal drugs as the possible motive of the crime in slaying the victim.
Pastrana said that they are thoroughly probing to identify the assailants.
