Super Tekla has this statement to those who are bashing his brand of comedy
Kapuso comedian Super Tekla reacted to the bashers of his brand of comedy, especially on what he does on The Boobay and Tekla Show.
Tekla is lucky enough to found a place under the spotlight through his projects in the Kapuso network. He was given a chance to partner with fellow GMA 7 talent Boobay in their own late-night comedy talk show.
When asked about how he will describe his brand of comedy, the Kapuso comedian said that it is “simple lang, natural”. “Siyempre kailangan yung timing, atake, natural lang,” he added.
Tekla also said that there is no need to be OA or over-acting in order to be funny. “Be yourself,” he shared. However, it is inevitable that some people would criticize their brand of comedy.
In line with this, Super Tekla just shrugs his shoulders. When asked if what can he say to his bashers, he simply answered “wala”. “Tinitingnan ko na lang kung sino yung may gusto. Siguro naman mas marami yung nakaka-appreciate sa ’yo kesa sa hindi,” he added.
For the comedian, he needs to love both bashers and admirers as he understands that he cannot please everybody. Despite the criticisms, blessing kept on pouring on him. He is set to guest in the early Valentine concert of Julie Ann San Jose and Christian Bautista with comedienne Donita Nose on February 8 at the Urdaneta City Cultural and Sports Center in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, based on the report from Philippine Entertainment Portal.
This is aside from his regular show every Sunday night with Boobay. Reportedly, The Boobay and Tekla Show has been reigning the rating game for several weeks.
