Here are the finalists in Reina Hispanoamericana 2019 National Costume competition
The finalists and the winner of the National Costume competition in Reina Hispanoamericana 2019 are finally announced.
Last January, Filipina beauty queen Katrina Llegado flew to Bolivia to represent the Philippines in the said international beauty pageant. After the competition was postponed last year, it was finally set this year.
On February 8, a new queen will be crowned. The first-ever Filipina who won the pageant was Kapuso actress Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez. That was also the first time that a Filipina joined the competition.
As the pageant night is nearing, pre-pageant competitions were being held. The recent one was the National Costume competition. Each of the candidates paraded their colorful costumes. The candidate from the Philippines was one of the top 5 finalists in the said event.
Here is the list of the Top 5 in Reina Hispanoamericana 2019 National Costume competition:
Philippines – KATRINA LLEGADO
Curacao – TIFFANY BRAS
Guatemala – STEFANI ELVIRA
Spain – AINARA CARAÑO
Paraguay – KETLIN LOTTERMAN
At the end of the competition, Miss Guatemala won the best National Costume award.
The costume of Katrina Llegado was inspired by the Ibong Adarna. “I chose to be the Adarna because I believe its story reaffirms the importance of nature in our lives. By embodying the Adarna, I hope to be a living reminder that we all bear the responsibility to take care of the environment not just as a member of the Hispanic community but as a citizen of the world,” she shared.
Meanwhile, Katrina was featured in Sociales, one of the leading newspapers in Bolivia, together with Miss Peru and Miss Bolivia.
