Katrina Llegado flies to Bolivia for the Reina Hispanoamericana 2019 pageant
The Reina Hispanoamericana 2019 pageant is set to be held this year in Bolivia and Philippines’ bet Katrina Llegado also already flew to the said country.
In the record of the said pageant, the first-ever Filipina who was crowned was Kapuso star Teresita Ssen ‘Winwyn’ Marquez. That was also the first time that the Philippines joined the pageant that is based in Bolivia. The pageant organization accepted representatives from other countries that have Hispanic heritage, language, and culture.
In 2017, the Philippines was included along with Canada and Australia. After 2 years, the local pageant organization is hoping to bring home the second Reina Hispanoamericana crown. The country’s representative is Katrina Llegado. She took off last Tuesday heading to Bolivia.
Last year, the pageant was postponed due to some post-election events taking place in the country at the time, based on the report from GMA Entertainment. At that time, Katrina was already in Bolivia because the cancellation of the pageant happened last minute.
The Miss World Philippines’ official Instagram account shared photos of the Filipina beauty queen at the airport. “Are you ready Bolivia? Here are some photos of our Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2019 @katllegado as she starts her journey to get our second crown. Fly high Pinay,” the caption stated.
A day before her flight Katrina shared this post on IG. “They say it’s a lot better the second time around. Here we go again! Laban, Filipinas!” she wrote in her post.
In an interview, she said this about her preparations. “Kahit second time around na ‘yung preparations ko, I think everything happened for a reason… And I think I’m more prepared, and I’m so ready,” Katrina Llegado said.
The Reina Hispanoamericana 2019 is set to happen on February 8, 2020.
