Priest Says Infected Chinese Should Confine in Duterte’s Room Earned Criticism Online

A priest earned criticism online after he says that Chinese people infected with the virus should be confined at President Duterte’s room.

The novel coronavirus (nCov) has become a major issue in the Philippines in recent days. Filipinos were greatly alarmed when news broke that the first case of the new coronavirus was confirmed in the Philippines.

After the news broke out people are panicking and blame the government of the Philippines. Un-immediate government actions, especially on the travel ban, has been criticized by many Filipinos.

Recently, a priest became viral on social media after he posted on his Facebook account concerning the issue of coronavirus and the leader of the Philippines where was criticize and slam by the netizens.

In the post of the Church priest named Fr. Eric Mark Sarmiento Salamat, he said that Chinese people who are infected with coronavirus should be confined to the room of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte or in the room of Senator Bong Go.

“May 2 places lang sana na pwedeng i-confine ang mga Intsik na nasa Pinas na positive sa corona virus:

1. Sa kwarto ni Pres. Digong

2. Sa kwarto ni Sen. Bong Go…

Tapos magkwentuhan sila dun ng mga chekwang fairy tales.”
