PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration this January 31, 2020.

The latest weather bulletin from the bureau states that amihan or the northeast monsoon will be affecting Luzon.

According to GMA News, the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon.

Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of the Luzon.

On the other hand, Visayas and Mindanao will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms. The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides especially during severe thunderstorms.

As per the report, for the forecast wind speed, Luzon will have moderate to strong winds moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.

Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds moving in the northeast direction with light to moderate coastal waters.
