Man Shot, Died On The Spot On Thursday Night In Sampaloc, Manila
MANILA – A man was dead on the spot on Thursday night (January 30) in Sampaloc, Manila after getting shot by 8 unidentified suspects.
According to ABS-CBN News, Police Staff Sgt. John Paul Rojo of the local Police District Homicide division identified the fatality as Ireneo Ramos, who happened to be included in a drugs watch list on the barangay.
Rojo added that Ramos was riding on a bicycle in Firmeza Street when 8 unidentified assailants, who were riding on four motorcycles approached him.
The 8 assailants shot and killed the victim before escaping in a direction heading to Algericas Street.
As per the report, one of the motives for the scene of the crime would possibly be drugs. Recovered from the scene of the crime are cases of a yet-to-be identified weapon.
In another news in the city, a little girl was killed by a stray bullet in Sta. Ana. The bullet came from a conflict between a motorcycle rider and barangay officials on Monday afternoon in Barangay 775 of the area.
The little girl was buying barbecue behind the officials when the incident occurred. The gunfight prompted civilians to run away, unintentionally leaving the girl behind.
