Carla Abellana Shares She Was Misdiagnosed While Battling These Diseases
CARLA ABELLANA – Kapuso star Carla Abellana said she was misdiagnosed while battling hypothyroidism and liver damage.
Filipina actress and commercial model Carla Abellana rose to fame after playing the lead role in the Pinoy adaptation of the Mexican tv series ‘Rosalinda’ (2009). She has starred several teleserye in the GMA-7 network including “Sine Novela: Basahang Ginto,” “Makapiling Kang Muli,” and “Kung Aagawin Mo Ang Langit.”
In a previous article, the 33-year-old celebrity revealed that she suffered few sicknesses and diseases. She said she has asthma, hypothyroidism, tachycardia, and liver damage.
During the mediacon of Carla Abellana’s new tv series “Love of My Life,” she willingly discussed her health conditions. Based on a report from PEP, she gained more weight.
The prominent actress revealed that she was misdiagnosed while battling some diseases. She said her pulmonologist gave her an oral steroid medication. The medicine caused her to gain more weight.
“Sayang nga po dahil sa misdiagnosis, nag-steroids pa po ako na hindi naman pala kailangan… so, lalo pa pong nag-cause ng weight gain iyong steroids ko,” she said.
According to the report, Carla Abellana has no plans on suing the doctor for misdiagnosis. She understands that there are just doctors who gave the wrong diagnosis or made a harmless mistake to their patients.
“Hindi po ako magdedemanda, pero I will just inform him and show him the test results para lang din po alam niya na… you know, nangyayari po talagang ganoon na may mga doctors na nagmi-misdiagnose,” said Carla.
Based on the report, Carla Abellana said she has dropped some weight and she feeling better now. “Improving naman po lahat,” she said.
“Yung asthma po is misdiagnosis ng unang pulmonologist na pinuntahan ko. Ang tachycardia, hindi po namin tini-treat, pero kapag medyo alarming po siya at sunud-sunod, kailangan ko pong bumalik ng cardiologist. Yung hyphothyroidism, we will start treating po this month, or February,” she added.
Carla’s new tv series “Love of My Life” marks her return to drama series since “Pamilya Roces” in 2018.
