Chinese Man Suspected Of Coronavirus Dies Of Pneumonia In San Lazaro Hospital
CHINESE MAN SUSPECTED OF CORONAVIRUS – A 29-year-old man from Yunnan, China who was suspected of having the Wuhan virus had died Wednesday morning.
According to reports from CNN, the man died due to pneumonia. However, health authorities have yet to confirm is the cause was the new 2019-nCoV.
Meanwhile, San Lazaro Hospital director Edmundo Lopez stated that the man who was admitted Monday tested positive for HIV during initial screenings.
Following this, samples from him would still undergo confirmation testing for HIV. Lopez added that the patient was thin and had several lesions in addition to “lung findings”.
As per the report, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said that there are 23 people now being monitored in local health facilities for the Wuhan virus or 2019-nCoV, as four people have been released earlier.
