WILLIE REVILLAME – Kapuso host Willie Revillame donates Php 1-million for Taal victims through Lipa City House Representative Vilma Santos.
Since January 12, the Taal erupted and had been spewing ashes non-stop causing the residents and animal to evacuate the area to avoid dangers brought about by the eruption. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) states that the victims have found temporary shelters to stay in covered courts and public schools.
Lifeless, dead, and gray – the once tourist and picturesque spot now looked devastating due to the thick ashes left by the intense ashfall. And last January 25, the Phivolcs said that the past 24 hours then, the volcano produced more steam which reached 100 to 800 meters and released of 409 tons of sulfur dioxide.
Many celebrities, famous personalities, and people have made their move to reach out to the evacuees along with their help and donations coming from the basic needs, items for sleeping, foods, and even financial assistance.
And just this January 27, Kapuso host Willie Revillame, through Lipa City House Representative Vilma Santos-Rectom, donated a whopping amount of Php 1-million for the victims of the eruption. Aside from the money, he will also donate sacks of rice and grocery items for them. This is how the GMA host wanted to celebrate his 59th birthday.
He said based on PEP, “Ito po galing sa WBR Productions para makapagbigay-tulong. Ito po ay worth PHP1million, bigay po ito ng Wowowin. Hindi ko alam kung kanino ko ibibigay. E, kayo talaga ang taga-Batangas, si Senator Ralph Recto, so ito ay iniaabot ko in behalf of GMA-7.”
